FRIENDSHIP AQUARIUM

This year, a group of Litorina School students started the school year with an art therapy lesson "Friendship Aquarium". The idea for the first lesson came from the concert "DANCES UNDER THE SEA" held at the Special Gymnasium and Lyceum of Athens in Greece, where students with mobility disabilities were given the unique opportunity to dance and feel like equal participants in a sea tale. 

The school is like an aquarium where children of different ages, interests and individual needs have to get along. As part of the treasure chest hunt, the children completed the tasks together, in two groups, in pairs and singly. This helped them to realise that working together is easier and more fun. 

The aquarium on the stand is an interpretation of the art therapy method "People as Fish". This method helped to reveal the children's attitudes towards the renewed group, their role in it, some character traits and even hobbies.
